I don’t deny that I’d like to be a hero, and love the hero-centered type of cinema.

About my daughter, I remember we were shooting the series ‘Michael’, and would stay in Qeshm island for periods lasting up to one-and-a-half months. I really missed her then, and just found a half-day break, got a plane ticket, and paid a visit home. Though, it was me who missed her, and she was a kid, with little dependence on such things.

While shooting ‘A Mother’s Sacrifice’, I was in Mashad for a month, and then in Anzali for 10 days; back then, I only tolerated the departure via technology and video chat, but now it’s a different story. She also misses me, picks the phone up and says ‘Dad, where are you? Buy me watermelon, and so on and so forth’. So, it’s getting more difficult for me as well.
